Scholarship Application Guideline


1. Please complete the one page application in its entirety. (type or print)

2. Please attach an essay as to why you believe you should be awarded the scholarship.  Please include in the essay your educational and career/occupational goals as well as any family/financial needs.

3. Please attach three letters of recommendation from individuals over the age of 21. This would include two from individuals who are not related to you and one from your family member who is in good standing with the MAIAAI.

4. Please attach an official transcript from your current school.

5. A high consideration for selection will be based on a demonstrated commitment to public service or a desire to enter public service.

6. Scholarship candidates must be of good morale character and be considered an upstanding citizen.

7. Scholarship candidates must be a graduating high school senior or entering/currently enrolled at a college/university.

8. Scholarship candidates must be a member, an immediate family member or grandchild of a MAIAAI Chapter member in good standing. (for the past calendar year)

9. There are two $500 scholarships available, which will be awarded/presented annually.  Past scholarship recipients must re-apply for consideration.

10. Please have all the above information sent via US mail and post marked no later than Thursday September 1, 2011 to:

Please note: If the application for the Scholarship is hand carried it must be turned in at the MAIAAI September 2011 Seminar!  This year will be September 15, 2011.
